Directions:
We pedal off in a Northerly direction out of Dungog over the railway and Williams River (be careful crossing the plank bridge!).
Just over the bridge we turn right toward Alison. This section has good views across the Williams River to Dungog. A couple of kilometres further on we turn left toward Marshdale. Look out for the signs! Follow this quiet winding country lane until you reach the right hand turn to Alison. T
urn right at this junction and swoop down over the little bridge to find the rustic Thalaba Church on the left. Once you get to Thalaba Church dismount and partake in the refeshments which include (what a surprise!) scones, jam and cream. Suitably re-invigorated, continue up the road to the T-junction where you will turn right again to head back toward Dungog. Climb up over the hill and cruise on down the other side towards Dungog (steep downhill! sharp bends! be careful!). Go straight ahead past Coolalie, straight ahead at the road junction (you've been here before!) and on toward Dungog. After a few kilometres, when you reach the the T-Junction turn left over the Dungog bridge (pick-a-plank bridge be careful!) and cycle back into town.
