The Rides,

Well, the rides are the whole point of the weekend really (if you don't count the free muffins). There is a ride for everyone through, round or over the wonderful scenery and quiet roads of the Williams River valley. Read on or click the buttons for more details on each day's rides.

Everything starts on Friday evening with the Kids and Cobwebs ride around the town for the young ones, always great fun.

Saturday morning has the traditional easy ride around Fosterton Loop with free refreshments (muffins!) half way at the Fosterton Bridge. Saturday afternoon you have the difficult choice of joining the Yowies on Dungog Common for a spot of dust, dirt and mental exertion on the 'MTB Orienteering Outing' on Dungog Common or heading out on the 'Scones and Jam', a short road ride through the pretty countryside south east of Dungog.

Sunday supplies an even more dazzling choice. Possibly a trip through the wonderful scenery of the Barrington foothills on the 'The Hunter Water 3 Bridges Road Ride' with free refreshments for riders at the turn around at Tunnybuc Bridge over the Williams River. Maybe test yourself on a trip up bush on the 'Mountain Bike Challenge' or possibly a trip up to the Dungog Common MTB trails? For the less energetically inclined maybe partake in the 'Historical Ride' cruising around Dungog admiring the town and surrounds while excercising the brain as well as the legs.

Remember, the ONLY official water and food stops are at the Start/Finish and the refreshment halts (one on each ride). Please ensure you carry plenty of water and food to keep you going throughout the rides you decide to undertake.

If you choose to do any of the road rides, although all are on surfaced roads, be aware that Dungog Shire roads can be a little rough in places despite the best efforts of the Shire council. Please ensure your tyres and wheels can handle country road conditions if you choose to do these rides.

Tourer, MTB'er, leisure rider or just out for a cruise, we have a ride that will suit you (Did we mention the free refreshments?)

NOTE: Riders under 14yrs of age MUST be accompanied by a cycling adult on all rides.
