Directions:

The ' Pedalfest Mountain Bike Challenge' is a 55km Mountain Bike Ride out to the State Forest. This ride has over 1000m of climbing on dirt roads so it is not suitable for the unfit or unprepared rider. You will need to carry your own snacks and sufficient water/energy drinks as potable water will only be available at Frying Pan Creek, Telegherry Day Area and Jeruselum Creek Car park.

The Course will be arrowed and there will be Ride Marshals in support. The ride will start at the Dungog VIC at 9.30am and we will ride up to Main Creek. From there we head up the Eastern end of Skimmings Gap Rd (5km of uphill on an all weather dirt road) then follow thru to Frying Pan Creek camping area. A little further (just over the hill) the ride comes to Forests NSW Telegherry day area where refreshments will be available. (REMEMBER if you want more than refreshments you must book lunch at the DVIC before we leave). After fuelling up (we're burning fat - not oil) we head up the hill up towards Jerusalem Creek, then left onto the descent of Wangat Trig Road. This leads us off the dirt roads onto Chichester Dam road, which takes us back to Dungog.

REMEMBER: On the  descents speeds of over 60km/h can reached, but remember we are on public roads. So take care and ride within your own ability.
