Background

The Dungog Common is approximately 200 hectares of Crown Land situated on the western boundary of the town of Dungog. The entrance is about 2kms from Dungog Railway station. There is a variety of tracks available that should suit all levels of riding ability. You can stay on the access roads or try some of the 16kms of single track that has been built by local MTB enthusiasts. It has no internal fences, just a boundary fence. So if you don't cross a fence you won't get lost. Mountain bikes or hybrids with fat tyres are probably best for this ride.

Saturday and Sunday

The tracks at the Dungog Common are available for self guided rides all day. Just follow the arrows or the fire trails.

Pedalfest marshals will be present at the Common for the Orienteering event and only randomly at other times , so make sure you have sufficient food and water and a working mobile phone. Keep the rubber side down and ride within your own ability.
