How to get There

By Rail:
Dungog has a railway station that is on the Sydney/Newcastle CityRail network. There are several trains a day from Newcastle (see CityRail timetable) The Sydney to North Coast XPT also stops at Dungog on request but please note that carriage of bicycles is restricted on the XPT (unless you have a folding bike in a case or bag).

By Road:
From Newcastle, Head West out of Newcastle towards Hexham until you reach Hexham Bridge. Take the lefthand exit at the Oak Junction to head up over the new bridge to go North on the Pacific Highway toward Raymond Terrace. Turn off left at the first roundabout into Raymond Terrace. Go along this road through two traffic light controlled intersections and then turn left at Macdonalds toward Clarence Town. Follow this road through Seaham and Clarence Town and you will arrive at Dungog from the South.

From Sydney, head North up the F3 Freeway until you reach the roundabout at the end of the Freeway. Turn right at the roundabout and right toward Newcastle at the New England Highway (over the overpass). Follow this road until you reach Hexham bridge and turn left over the bridge to head North on the Pacific Highway toward Raymond Terrace. Turn off left at the first roundabout into Raymond Terrace, along this road through two traffic light controlled intersections and then turn left at Macdonalds toward Clarence Town. Follow this road through Seaham and Clarence Town and you will arrive at Dungog from the South.

From The North, head South down the Pacific Highway until you reach the roundabout at Raymond Terrace. Turn Right into Raymond Terrace, along this road through two traffic light controlled intersections and then turn left at Macdonalds toward Clarence Town. Follow this road through Seaham and Clarence Town and you will arrive at Dungog from the South.

From the West, head South down the New England Highway to Maitland. Turn left at the first roundabout at Maitland into Maitland town, follow the road to the first set of traffic lights and turn left over the Hunter River. Follow this road through Bolwarra, up the hill and turn right at the Shell service station toward Clarence Town. Follow this road over Woodville bridge and on through Seaham and Clarence Town and you will arrive at Dungog from the South. The adventurous can, if they so desire, turn left at Singleton and take the back road via Gresford. Look out for the kangaroos!
